Description
This course will show the physiology behind increased intestinal permeability also known as Leaky Gut and how this increases systemic lipopolysaccharides which will affect not only the GI tract but the body systemically. Topics will include:
- What makes up the intestinal barrier.
- Leaky gut causes and symptoms and how ti diagnose and treat it.
- The physiology behind increased intestinal permeability.
- Lipopolysaccharides and how they affect the brain, GI tract, Thyroid, Insulin, Obesity, Cardiovascular System, Liver, and Musculoskeletal System.
Understanding Leaky Gut Syndrome will give the clinician another nutritional approach to improve patient outcomes!
