Managing Acute & Chronic Shoulder Conditions Using Advanced Regenerative Modalities

This dynamic, clinically focused course provides chiropractors with practical, evidence-informed strategies for evaluating and managing acute and chronic shoulder conditions through the integration of advanced therapeutic modalities and corrective rehabilitation. Participants will explore the clinical applications of Photobiomodulation (PBM/Class IV Laser), Shockwave Therapy (Radial and Focused), and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF), including their proposed mechanisms of action, appropriate indications, limitations, and safety considerations. Emphasis will be placed on selecting the most appropriate therapeutic intervention based on the patient's clinical presentation, functional limitations, and treatment goals. The course will also address comprehensive shoulder assessment, including rotator cuff function, scapular mechanics, range of motion, cervical involvement, and differential diagnosis. Attendees will learn strategies for managing acute shoulder pain, reducing provocative loading, and transitioning patients into progressive corrective exercise programs designed to improve strength, mobility, stability, and functional performance. Through clinical case discussions involving acute shoulder injuries and persistent calcific tendinopathy, participants will gain insight into combining advanced therapeutic technologies with individualized rehabilitation strategies. Special attention will be given to monitoring patient progress, measuring functional outcomes, and determining when treatment should be continued, modified, or referred for further evaluation.
