Description

In December 2019, a novel infection named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19) broke out in Wuhan, China, and has been sweeping across the globe. COVID19 was officially declared a pandemic by WHO on March 11, 2020. The disease is caused by a newly identified strain of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) associated coronavirus, which was named SARS-CoV-2. Much has been learned about the virus, modes of transmission, preventative measures, the science of masking and of course the development of vaccines. As is the case with any virus, it has learned how to adapt, who to infect and in many cases continue to wreak havoc with many systems of the body. It is now estimated that over 20% of those infected with COVID-19 will continue to experience various symptoms long after they test positive. This puts a tremendous stress on health care delivery systems, costing millions in lost wages, disability, and treatment. This webinar will look at COVID-19 and focus in on those patients who continue to suffer from headaches, cognitive issues, GI upset, joint pain, skin problems and what the Chiropractor can do to help.
